POSITION OVERVIEW

Job Title: Sr. Fullstack Engineer
Location: Remote, with travel up to 10% (as required)
Position Details: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience

Jeenie® is seeking a forward-thinking, passionate Sr. Fullstack Engineer to join its growing engineering organization. This role reports directly to the Head of Engineering and the ideal candidate has strong technical and analytical capabilities, along with extensive experience in both frontend and backend development in a variety of modern technologies.

You will be an integral part of the Jeenie Engineering Team, collaborating across the company to drive impact and growth, while helping to grow the Engineering team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sr. Fullstack Engineer will take a leading position in the Engineering team by:
● Playing an active and strategic role in architecting and implementing core product backend services in Golang
● Implementing critical internal company tooling in Javascript
● Designing and implementing integrations between the core product and other internal business services
● Reviewing mission-critical code produced by junior engineers, from both onshore and offshore teams
● Participating in growing the internal engineering team and mentoring junior engineers
● Performing other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

● 4+ years work experience in software development
● Broad range of experience in multiple programming languages and environments, including frontend and backend projects
● Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or relevant work experience
● Ability to work in the US without visa sponsorship


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
A strong candidate for our team is one who:

● Is excited by the opportunity to play a central role in growing an engineering team
● Has a “player-coach” mentality and enjoys working with, and mentoring, junior developers in a wide range of technologies
● Has a very good understanding of architectural design principles in Golang, and how it may differ from other popular object oriented languages
● Has experience implementing and maintaining RESTful server APIs which support a variety of frontend clients
● Understands modern, containerized devops and cloud environments, such as Docker/Kubernetes in GCP
● Has extensive experience with test-driven development, behavior-driven development, and good intuitions on which approaches work best in multiple situations
● Has a wide range of experience with modern component-based Javascript frameworks such as Vue and React, and state-management solutions such as Vuex, and Redux
● Can complete the following phrase in English: “`/bb|[^b]{2}/`, [complete the sentence…]”, gets the intent of the joke, but also may have criticisms on purely technical grounds.
