Basic Requirements

All Jeenie interpreters must meet the following requirements:

Native proficiency in at least two languages
Service-oriented, friendly, and professional demeanor
A passion for helping others
Reliable internet connectivity
Headset for client privacy
A device with a data plan
A quiet, private workspace for confidential calls

Healthcare Requirements

All medical interpreters must meet all basic requirements, plus:

2+ years of professional medical interpreter experience
Core CHI, CHI, NBCMI certification (preferred)
40-120 hours Interpreter Training Program (preferred)
Valid HIPAA training certificate
HIPAA policy compliance
Have knowledge of NCIHC National Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
Sign Individual Business Associate Agreement compliance

ASL Requirements

All ASL interpreters must meet all basic requirements, plus:

2+ years of professional interpreter experience
NAD, RID, CI/CT, NIC, BEI, VQAS Certification
Familiarity with state laws & Americans with Disabilities Act
Valid HIPAA Training Certificate
Knowledge of NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct
