Why Jeenie
-
In the latest release we’ve upgraded the scheduling experience to help clients get more out of the booking process. The results are increased clarity, greater visibility, and options that empower our users.
Different language pairs can require more or less advance notice to reserve. Now you can see if how much time is required as you are filling out the request.
Clarify the purpose of the call. This helps users to easily identify the correct scheduled call.
Remember: Never put personal patient information in your form. Make sure you’re following HIPAA privacy requirements.
Need to make sure other users are notified and updated about a call? Now you can by adding their email here.
Specify if a specific gender interpreter is preferred for a call. You can also choose to cancel the call if that gender is not available. (See the checkbox below gender options.)
With this release the Scheduled page has gotten a makeover. It not only looks better, it includes more of the details you want to know. In a glance you can see the time of call, duration of call, the platform it’s on, its language pair, the topic, and “Join” options.
Any calls that are currently occurring “now” or will start in the next 15 minutes, will have a text alert noting its call proximity.
We’ve added a new functionality for Admins in their Scheduled screen. With this release Admins can filter their list view using user name and user email. Whether admins only want to review one user’s upcoming calls or their entire organization’s – Admins have real visibility into who will be doing what calls and when.
You asked, and we listened: Less nudges to join a call.
In this release we’ve updated the logic in “Rejoin” prompts to make them smarter. These changes will help to minimize instances where the option to rejoin is less likely to assist users. It also cuts down on how often these pop-ups populate in general.
Tip: If you accidentally close a “rejoin” pop-up but DO want to get into that call, simply logout and log back in on the same device.

Now available: An easily accessible way for account admins to combine call history usage with costs. This update helps clients to better slice and dice their usage data and its related costs for tracking purposes. On a web browser, simply download your call history report in CSV format from the “History” page.
Note: If you have any credits, refunds, or are on a tiered pricing plan, you may see discrepancies in the total amount billed or the per call costs.
Update your TeleJeenie list! We’ve added more languages to this offering for landline phones.
With the increased number of languages available, you’ll have more options to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures on landlines. You can download the complete list on Jeenie.com.

On some calls, getting an interpreter as fast as possible is critical. That’s why this upcoming release has improved connection options for on-demand video calls. If a video call is not matching you to an interpreter as quickly as we think it should, users will soon have the option to transition from video to audio for expedited service.
Clients will be able to switch to audio for faster access to an interpreter in all on-demand languages (except ASL).
You have a lot pulling on your attention and time. That’s why we’ve made it easier to see usage patterns and glean insights on how Jeenie is leveraged in your organization.
Admins now have more granular control over what they can review directly in their organization’s History screen. Previously, the Admin History screen only had a “users” filter (by date range). Today, they can also filter call history by three new parameters:
Clients can combine filters to target specific use cases. (For example: Admins can narrow their call history to sessions that were on-demand AND on Google Meet.)
The History screen got a small UX “facelift” to tighten up the design. Stay tuned. These changes pave the way for even more call data capabilities in future updates.

One of the things that makes Jeenie so powerful is how flexible it is…making it easy to fit Jeenie and it’s interpreters into the way you work. That’s why our team is thrilled to announce the next gen of our Jeenie for Zoom App. Now Jeenie clients who prefer to meet in Zoom’s platform can expect an even better experience.
Jeenie’s Zoom integration allows our clients to access Jeenie’s live, vetted interpreters directly within their Zoom meetings. With this upgrade, Zoom meeting hosts AND cohosts can manage interpreters for scheduled meetings. It also makes getting a Jeenie linguist on demand during an already-occurring Zoom meeting even smoother.
Ready to dive in? Check out our step by step instructions for installing and using the integration. Below are a few highlights about this update!
No problem. Simply open the Jeenie App in Zoom and get an on-demand interpreter in-the-moment.
No need to go to the Jeenie platform if you’re already on Zoom. As long as you have the Jeenie for Zoom app installed, you can book your Jeenie right there.
How? Schedule the meeting in Zoom. Then, add an interpreter to that meeting using the Jeenie for Zoom app.
Now you can! Simply make other Zoom & Jeeenie users co-hosts of the meeting and they will be able to manage the meeting.
The integration relaunches with 12 languages available. More will added throughout 2024.
Gone are the days where both audio & video permissions must be enabled to use Jeenie.
This is especially valuable for clients who may have more stringent restrictions around video due to legal requirements. They can opt to limit access to audio when employees (or they) are on the platform.
Welcome to a more intuitive home & login experience on mobile!
The new “Get a Jeenie” home screen has a clean, streamlined look and feel that takes advantage of better UX and prominent call buttons.
The new Login screen is less cluttered and features a prominent “Login” button to make it easier for users to quickly sign on.
We’ve added PayPal as a payment option on web browser as well as mobile. Making it easier for pay-as-you-go and subscription accounts to use their payment method of choice.
