Mariana is a Maya Mam, Spanish, and English interpreter with more than 8 years of experience in the field of interpretation. She improved her English while completing her studies as a Natural Resources Technician at Mount Hood Community College in Gresham OR, United States of America. She is passionate and loves interpreting, helping indigenous people from her community and Mam areas from Guatemala, who face the language barrier of being in another country. She is an environmental engineer, an environmental activist, and she works very closely with her Mam community in different activities to mitigate climate change.
